Since 1973 Montessori Teacher Preparation of Washington has successfully prepared thousands of students from all over the world to become Montessori teachers. Today MTP of WA is the largest training program in the Northwest.
MTP of WA provides onsite and DVD training courses for adults in the US as well as training programs in international locations, including Taiwan, South Korea, the Philippines, China, and Kenya. Upon successful completion of the academic course and a nine month period of internship, the teacher candidate may apply for certification from the Montessori Institute of America, our national organization. MTP of WA onsite course in Kent, WA, holds accredited status by the Montessori Accreditation Council for Teacher Education (MACTE) and is approved to grant I-20s to qualified international students.
Persons of all faiths, races, nationalities and creeds are welcomed equally to the MTP of WA course. Mrs. McClurkin invites people who are interested in knowing about Montessori training courses and opportunities to teach worldwide to email her at firstname.lastname@example.org. Mrs. McClurkin reminds prospective students that becoming “a Montessori teacher demands a change of life’s values, and such a change does not come by reading other people’s printed manuals.”
